BMG’s focus at Nampo 2018 will highlight the importance of the investment in quality equipment and components for high efficiencies and optimum productivity in the agricultural sector.

“Since the launch of BMG’s Boer Slim/Smart Farming initiative five years ago, we have seen a growing trend in the transformation of conventional farms into commercial units, run as profitable businesses,” explains Carlo Beukes, agricultural manager, BMG. “Through the Boer Slim/Smart Farming concept, BMG’s agricultural experts work closely with farmers, to help them cope with constantly changing trends in agricultural machinery.

“We have recognised a greater acceptance by local farmers that advanced equipment is necessary to optimise productivity and minimise downtime and that this investment does translate into tangible operational efficiencies. Farmers acknowledge there is value in high quality equipment and replacement parts, rather than the use of ‘cheap’ and inferior components.

“BMG offers farming sustainability solutions that focus on effective food production, the correct use of suitable equipment for the specific task and the efficient application of advanced technologies. The company’s extensive range of engineering components, which conforms to all relevant quality assurance and specification certifications, is carefully selected for local farmers, to ensure optimum performance – even in tough operating conditions.”

Working demonstrations in the Santam Hall, at stands 15 and 16, will showcase how BMG’s electronic, fluid technology, tools and power transmission components operate together, to form an efficient system that enhances productivity and energy efficiency.

New to BMG’s range of agricultural components are slogging hammers and wheel sloggers, used to loosen and tighten bolts and nuts quickly and easily; BTC gearboxes, specifically designed for packhouses and Motoline solar inverters for water pumps.

Dual direction multi-purpose gearboxes, PTO clutches and components and specially designed heavy-duty coulter bearings are also new to the range.

BMG’s high-quality replacement agricultural components are engineered to improve productivity in the farming sector, to operate efficiently for extended periods, with minimal maintenance requirements and to reduce costs in the long term.

Immediate availability of a comprehensive range of quality branded products, technical support and total solutions service, sets the company apart in the agricultural community.

The company’s 2018 agricultural catalogue is a practical guide for agricultural OEM’s, re-sellers and farmers, that focuses on all wear parts and components available from BMG. There are illustrations and easy-to-follow charts to assist famers in the correct identification and selection of the appropriate component for every application.

BMG provides solutions to all key players in the agricultural sector, including local manufacturers of equipment and implements, as well as agricultural re-sellers and the farmer.
