FOOD SAFETY: Uganda is new FAO/WHO coordinator for Africa

Uganda, has through the Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) assumed the chair of Coordinator for the Food and Agriculture Organisation / World Health Organisation Coordinating Committee for Africa, replacing Kenya. This follows the appointment for 2020 to 2022 by the Codex Alimentarius (food code) Commission (CAC). UNBS Executive director, David Livingstone Ebiru says to-date the standard body has developed a total of 1,082 Standards in Food and Agriculture.
