Landus, the largest farmer-owned cooperative in Iowa and the 10th largest grain storage company in North America, has added to its cross country grain trading network with the addition of two highly experienced grain merchandisers. Brock Seidl and Tyson Pettijohn recently joined the Landus grain merchandising team to grow opportunities for Landus in the northeast and northern plains of the United States as well as in multiple Canadian provinces.
Seidl, cross country trade lead, will be responsible for leading a team to expand the Landus trade footprint by providing marketing solutions for producers and end users. He has more than 12 years of grain merchandising knowledge and will focus on the Canadian grain merchandising market. Seidl most recently was domestic trade manager at Farmer’s Business Network, Inc., and earlier was merchandising manager at Kruse Western Trade Group. He also spent nearly 11 years at Gavilon Grain, LLC in a variety of roles, including merchandiser manager and commodities trader.
Pettijohn has been named senior grain merchandiser. In his new role he will focus his efforts on growth for Landus in the northern plains and northeastern region of the United States. He most recently was senior merchandiser at Farmer’s Business Network and earlier spent five-plus years at Gavilon as a commodity merchandiser and grain merchandiser.
