This year, the USAID project ordered 300 wagons, which accounts for 45% of the annual order currently being produced at the RMF Karpaty for other partners engaged in exporting agricultural products.

In 2023, the plant manufactured 50 such wagons for the company “Nibulon” at the request of the USAID project.
The plant produces three wagons per day. One weighs 23.5 tons. The main component of the wagon body is European-origin metal purchased from Ukrainian suppliers.
The remaining components are Ukrainian-made, including the wagon axle, solid-rolled wheel, side frame, spring beam, parts of the impact-traction device, brake equipment, and other details.
Currently, the plant has an order backlog until August 2024.
In addition to grain wagons, the production of cement wagons is considered a promising direction, which will be needed for the restoration of critical infrastructure and housing stock in Ukraine.
This will help generate new orders for Ukrainian wagon builders.
As reported earlier, “Nibulon” received 50 hopper wagons with the assistance of USAID.
