Rural farmers cry foul over bank loans

Sticking to the old defiance of the changing dynamics in the agricultural industry has been described as a major motive behind rural farmers' denial of loans from financial institutions in the country as opposed to what the farmers have been describing as unfair treatment on them.
 

Most rural farmers have been cying foul over access to banks loans, saying the financial insitutions would  not accept tittle deeds they are issued by the local governments under the Customary Right of Occupancy (CRO), as bonds for the credits. Unlike their urban peers who recieve title deeds from the Land Commissioner, the rural farmers secure the documents under CRO based on the traditional ownership.
