SWITZERLAND – Bühler is set to launch a virtual tradeshow for the first time from May 12 to 15, 2020 under the motto “Creating food sensations” with an aim of inspiring customers with innovative end products.

Tagged ‘The Bühler Virtual World’, the live program will feature 3D booth, digital showrooms, and expert presentations from food technologists who will shed light on the latest trends in consumer foods.

The Swiss supplier of solution to the food industry said that the digital tradeshow will provide a platform to highlight latest development in the industry including  healthy products with high protein content, more fiber, and less sugar and fat, as well as regional specialties.

Creative and sustainable solutions to inspire customers

As the consumer foods industry continues to evolve, the company noted that food processors that can quickly commercialize and scale the many fast-changing consumer trends with highly efficient, flexible, and reliable solutions come out on top.

Bühler maintains that it “starts its journey with the desired products of tomorrow – and with its customers, defines the processes, technologies, and solutions which turn them into reality – completed by lifecycle services which accompany them.”

Bühler will be showcasing its new sustainable, energy-efficient solutions and full range of processing solutions along the entire value chain with an aim to inspire customers with innovative end products.

The solutions will include sustainable innovations that help reduce waste, water, and energy usage in the bakery, chocolate, confectionery and roasting industries as well as new solutions for food safety, healthy ingredients, and higher efficiency.

The company said that the virtual tradeshow is one its innovative ways of reaching out to consumers following the cancellation of the interpack 2020 tradeshow – which was to be held in Düsseldorf, Germany and was originally scheduled from May 7-13, 2020.

“The current challenges require us to explore new ways of reaching out and preparing for the future. In this case by running events digitally and discovering the potential of virtual events. We ask all our customers and interested people to keep the interpack dates in their calendars,” says Germar Wacker, CEO of Bühler’s Consumer Foods business.

The company is hence inviting its customers and interested parties to join the Bühler Virtual World booth online, “get inspired by new end-product compositions, meet Bühler experts and sales people in chat rooms, or enter technical presentations online.”

“There are so many challenges and opportunities in the consumer foods market today that deserve new solutions,” says Germar Wacker. “We want to invite all our customers to explore these solutions in a completely new, virtual format which also allows for individual discussion.”
